- What type of print am I getting?
- The printer I use has a Noritsu 3111, which produces very fine quality prints true to color and depth. The artwork in question is personally scanned by myself at 300 dpi and color corrected to match the original. The paper is Fuji Crystal Archive Paper. I usually print lustre, but if glossy is your preference, please state this in an email to leliaeophelia at yahoo dot com when making your order via Paypal.
- How do you ship the prints?
- I use mailing tubes that measure 2”x18” and enclose the print(s) in tissue paper and roll them lengthwise into the tube. Sometimes I include a surprise. :)
- Can I special order?
- Maybe. If a print of my artwork is not yet available, please email me at leliaeophelia at yahoo dot com and I will let you know if and when the print will be available or if I can specially make a print for you.
- Who are you?
- My name is Kelly McKernan, I’m currently 22, and pursuing a B.F.A. in Painting at Kennesaw State University, which is just north of Atlanta, Georgia. I am also a freelance illustrator and am hoping to possibly attend SCAD Atlanta for a M.F.A. in Illustration within a year of my graduation at KSU (which should be Spring 2009).
I am strongly inspired by the movements and ideals of art nouveau, analytic cubism, symbolism, and surrealism, as well as retro design and contemporary fine art. I explore the uncanny, out-of-context, and the unexpected and am firm supporter of serendipity interrupting my process to form the outcome of my work.
I aim to encompass a wide range of media into my work ranging from photographic processes to printmaking techniques and unconventional forms of painting.
In my rare freetime, I enjoy film photography, snowboarding, thrifting, writing, my iPod shuffle, baking cupcakes, and bonding with my cat, Toulouse.
